Kohler’s Casey Johnson wins Div. 2 state tennis championship for second year in a row

Casey Johnson is the Div. 2 boys singles WIAA state tennis champ for the second year in a row.

He lost the first set against Juan Perez (The Prairie School of Racine), 3-6. Johnson was ahead the second set 5-3, then fell behind when Perez caught up making it 5-5, but Johnson pulled ahead and won, 7-5. In the final set, Johnson was ahead 2-0, when Juan Perez retired.

Johnson will go back to Madison next week with the entire team, as they compete in the Div. 2 team tennis championship.
