Christopher Zablocki has been named the new varsity head football coach for the Kohler/Lutheran/Christian (KLC) football program.

A “Meet and Greet” will be held for Coach Zablocki tomorrow (Tuesday), May 9, at 7:00 p.m. in the Kohler High School gymnasium. All youth through high school players, families, and community members are invited.

The athletic department had a large pool of quality applicants for this position, according to Joseph Hildebrand, Kohler High School Athletic & Activities Director. After narrowing down and interviewing the top candidates, the interview team had a clear candidate in Mr. Zablocki. “It was electrifying to hear about his passion for the game and how his pyramid of priorities carries him through his daily life,” said Hildebrand. “I am proud of the football program and winning tradition that Matt Zavada has built here and I am very excited to see Chris continue to build upon our tradition. Chris will bring a high intensity disciplined style of play to our sideline and to the KLC program. Chris has numerous success stories and experiences as a head coach and these experiences will be used to instruct and coach our young men that represent Kohler, Lutheran, and Christian High Schools.”

Zablocki teaches seventh grade social studies at Urban Middle School in Sheboygan. He served as head coach for the Cedar Grove-Belgium program for nine years, and Sheboygan North High School since 2015. Since 2009 he has been Skill Positions Director for Lakeshore QB & Skill Position Camp. From 2006-2015 he coordinated the Back 2 Basics Youth Football Camp for the towns of Cedar Grove, Belgium, and Oostburg. He was the running back and wide receiver coach for Lakeland University from 2003-2005.

Zablocki has a bachelor’s degree in education from Lakeland University, and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from National-Louis University.
