Ben Salzmann Selected for Sheboygan County “Economic Driver of the Year” Award

Sheboygan, WI - At its 2011 Annual Meeting, the Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation (SCEDC) presented its second annual “Sheboygan County Economic Driver of the Year” Award to Ben Salzmann, President and CEO of ACUITY, located in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. (Salzmann is a Kohler resident). Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch was on hand to help the SCEDC recognize and congratulate Mr. Salzmann, and convey the award.

The “Sheboygan County Economic Driver of the Year” Award signifies ACUITY’s commitment to the area business community and also to establishing the company as an exemplary employer of choice. In presenting the award to Ben Salzmann, the SCEDC indicated that Mr. Salzmann has led ACUITY’s transition into one of the nation’s best mid-sized employers.

Ben Salzmann is a respected business leader and a driver of economic development and talent attraction and retention. Under Mr. Salzmann’s leadership, ACUITY has maintained a performance of strong growth and profitability. The insurer has been named to the Ward’s 50 list of best-run companies for 12 consecutive years. Additionally, ACUITY has achieved national recognition for its employee-friendly work environment.
