I am shocked and saddened to hear of Steve’s passing. My heart goes out to Ann & his children. You will be missed, Steve. I was proud to know you.
My sympathies go out to Steve’s family and co-workers. I worked with Steve in Codes and Standards at Kohler a few years ago. He was a always kind and helpful and great when it was “crunch time”. I have many fond memories of his smile, and of our friendship. He will be missed.
Our hearts are heavy in the Village today. Steve was a great leader of the Village, but most importantly a good human being who always tried to give his best in all he did. I will miss waving to him as he is riding his bike to work. Our prayers are with his family right now as they work through this time of grief. We all know Steve is in a good place and will be sure to keep everything organized in God’s kingdom.
My job requires that I interact with a wide variety of local elected officials in southeastern Wisconsin. It was a pleasure to work with Steve. I have no hesitation in saying he was one of the best community leaders in the region. He will be missed, but his example will not be forgotten.
I knew Steve as a co-worker and a friend. He always had a smile on his face and he was one of the nicest people you would ever want to know. I will deeply miss him and I’ll pray for Anne and the children during this time.
God bless them and comfort them all.
My prayers go out to your family. You will be missed!
I will always remember the great corvette ride you gave me.
Thank you for your friendship!

This is such a tragedy and shock. Thoughts and prayers to Ann and the kids. I always appreciated my interactions/discussions with Steve. We can look around the Village and see that he has left his mark.
R.I.P Steve. You will be greatly missed from everyone who ever got the chance to know you. My prayers go out to you Ann, Emily, Katie, Luke, and Elyse. Thank you for everything all these years. I’ll miss you so much. You were such an incredible person.
Steve was a high school classmate (KHS Class of 1980)and friend since 6th grade. Our paths have not crossed frequently in recent years, but some of the longest and most memorable conversations I can recall from recent class reunions were with Steve. He was a thoroughly decent and thoughtful guy who just seemed to get “better” as the years went by. Steve was always a car buff (even before he could drive!) so I chuckled at some of the comments that are posted about Steve and his cars…I guess some things never change and in Steve’s case, that is a great thing! Rest in Peace to a classmate and friend and my heart-felt condolences to his family.
I am very saddened to hear of Steve’s passing. I attended Sunday School with Steve at Grace UCC. We talked about cars and goofed around a little too much. Even then, as a young boy, he had that “quick wit and friendly smile.” My thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathy go out to his family.
